You’re probably getting bored of all these Disneyland posts… but I want to show you something.
We went to Disneyland on Saturday. The weather was lovely (not too hot, not tooo humid), the crowd was non-existent. Just over a year ago, we were doing the same thing…

Mitchell with Mushu - Early March 2008
Here is Mitchell enjoying himself a year on…

Mitchell with Mickey - March 2009
Doesn’t time fly?
Now… I did want to show you two Mickey pictures so you could compare… but *SOMEONE* decided to install bootcamp on my mac just under a year ago without reading the instructions and wiped my hard drive before I had time to back my photos up…. meaning I don’t have any pictures of Mitchell with Mickey from a year ago…. I hope my personal sys admin learned his lesson back then… I can’t believe I still let him touch my laptop.
Anyways…. back to the here and now…

The kids had virtually no queue to wait in or be rushed off by and spent a lot of time with Pluto. Mitchell is wearing a birthday pin(button) because we won’t be able to bring him out before or on his actual birthday due to other commitments. He was spoilt by the staff, made an honorary VIP in Fantasyland, and had ‘Happy Birthday’ sung to him. He had a smile from ear to ear!

Tigger doesn’t come out to meet the guests often, but when Bethany spied him, she really wanted to go over and say hi… which wasn’t as easy as it looks because Tigger kept playing tricks on her.
One thing we did for the first time while out at Disneyland was try the restaurant in Adventureland ‘Riverview Cafe’. It served set dishes with rice, and noodle dishes. The set dishes with rice were not too bad (especially the stir fried vegetables). The noodle dishes were the quality of ‘what you would expect in a food hall in New Zealand’… in other words – well below average. Having said that, it was relatively cheap and filling. When we arrived at the restaurant it was pretty quiet and not too hot (it is an open-air restaurant) so the atmosphere was nice. We’d probably even go there again.
We had a nice day out but much to Titus’s disappointment, the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride was closed for renovation… so he got to miss out on his favorite ride. However, as you all know… there WILL certainly be a next time!

NEVER could get tired of the Disney posts! love them! Your pictures are always so great. Mitchell has grown so much over the past year! Shame about the Buzz ride though. It’s one of my favorites too.
