Our last full day in New Zealand for this trip, the kids wanted to play. We found a local playground, which just happened to have one of the best things – a merry-go-round. Not the one with horses that go up and down. Just a simple piece of children’s play equipment.
I think they were having a lot of fun, but watch the video if you like and you decide.
I remember a few of these in various parks we used to go to when I was a child – and they tended to be larger than this. Lots of fun, but of course, lots of potential for accidents, which I can’t help but wonder if it could be the reason they aren’t seen often any more. Anyways, the kids had a BLAST despite the cold.
As night was falling and we dragged the kids screaming from the playground we decided to take the kids for one last drive around Cornwall Park. The minute Mitchell saw sheep he flipped out, so we stopped the car and let him walk over to them.
He didn’t chase them but his excitement was evident. Here he is running away from them as they move over to under some trees.
Bye bye New Zealand… off to Oz…
