Today my beloved All Blacks play France in a game that will decide which side of the semi final draw they will end up on.
I can tell you right now the All Blacks will win; not because I am a cocky kiwi but because France has chosen to field their second draw players. To loose gives the French a much easier run to the finals playing Northern Hemisphere teams they know well. The All Blacks don’t throw games. It isn’t in the spirit of the team, the nation or the people.
I so hoped for a great match up against the French. There is a lot of fiery history between the two nations and the two teams. They are quite often great games to watch as the French get so riled up by the All Black haka and normally play their hearts out. I know that won’t happen today, which makes me sad that some teams would rather go for the easy route that play with the competitive spirit we all hope would go into international match-ups.
Since we know who will win, I have only one request of my All Blacks this time … make ’em pay for their deceit by giving them a shellacking on the scoreline boys!
