Christmas / Hong Kong / Recreation

It’s beginning to look a lot like a Tiffany’s Christmas

Tiffany & Co. have taken over Statue Square in Central and adorned it with Christmas decorations and a large Christmas tree. The tree itself is covered in bounding rabbits, horses and reindeers each lit with little white fairy lights.

The whole precinct is dappled with large Tiffany boxes bringing a splash of colour to the concrete jungle around the Princes Building and HSBC Tower. At night the tree lights up with blue Christmas lights … very pretty.

Next to the Mandarin Oriental Tiffany & Co. have also set up a carousel. You have to pay to ride it and at the moment it seems to only operate at night, but it helps turn the display into something fun and quirky.

Most of the decorations in Hong Kong this year put up by the malls are nothing short of atrocious, so it is nice to see something more tasteful even if it is a massive advertising campaign. Thanks Tiffany!
