Over Christmas, Times Square in Causeway Bay had a life-sized Christmas display. My kids couldn’t get enough of the giant LEGO. They enjoyed looking, touching and even discussing how it had been put together. No one was immune from being drawn into the world of a timeless toy as adults had as much fun as my sprogs looking through the display.
Cleverly, they had a life-sized village with a Christmas train and the normal sized LEGO version in a glass display to compare. The kids LOVED it. They compared the display in the glass case to the village they walked through and wanted photos with every lego person. They didn’t want to leave because they were having so much fun.
I had to pry Mitchell from LEGO Santa.
Very clever marketing from LEGO and a great display to make my kids inquire and be inspired. I guess we might just have to go to Legoland in Malaysia at some point so the kids can become immersed in life-sized LEGO once more. 😉
