Hong Kong Sunsets – Part 1

There are few things as beautiful as having a day in Hong Kong where you can see the sun set through the smog …

I shot this sequence of photos from Braemar Hill, above Quarry Bay/North Point looking directly down the middle of Victoria Harbour. The tower on the right is ICC – the tallest building in Hong Kong (at the time of writing), and the tower on the left of the harbour is IFC.

What I love about these photos is the way the sun is reaching out, struggling against the pull of darkness. Its tendrils of light reaching up into the darkening sky above. Even nature wants to stay awake in the city that seemingly never sleeps. 😉
